Guidelines & Terms of Use
Anti-Cheat and Security Measures
All servers are equipped with advanced anti-cheat mechanisms tailored to each server's needs. Attempts to bypass, exploit, or tamper with these systems, including the use of malicious software (e.g., cheats, malware), the creation of harmful in-game contraptions (e.g., lag machines, redstone loops), or exploiting game glitches (e.g., duping), will result in an immediate, permanent ban.
Community Rules Compliance
Players are required to adhere to the community rules of the server and any associated platforms (e.g., Discord, Guilded, etc.), including interactions with other players and content shared on these platforms.
DoS/DDoS Attacks
Engaging in or attempting DoS/DDoS attacks will result in:
Immediate and permanent IP blacklisting.
Public disclosure of relevant information (e.g., username) to server administrators for enforcement of bans.
Possible involvement of cybersecurity authorities in extreme cases.
Dox Attacks
Sharing or attempting personal information (e.g., real names, addresses, or other private details) of other players without their explicit consent is strictly prohibited.
Impersonation and Fraudulent Behavior
Impersonating other players or server staff is strictly prohibited. This includes using similar usernames, skins, or any other in-game methods to deceive others into thinking you are someone else, especially if it’s done to mislead, cause confusion, or disrupt gameplay. Any attempt to impersonate others for malicious purposes will result in disciplinary action.
Scamming and Fraud
Scamming, fraud, or any deceptive practices (including but not limited to: phishing, account hijacking, or scams involving real money), whether in-game or externally, are prohibited. Significant violations will be investigated thoroughly, and cybersecurity experts may be involved for investigation and enforcement.
Malicious Software, and Contraptions
The use, distribution, or creation of any malicious tools, including software (e.g., cheats, malware, or other harmful programs), in-game contraptions (e.g., lag machines, redstone loops, or other devices designed to harm server performance or disrupt gameplay), or exploits such as duping (intentionally duplicating items through game bugs or glitches), with malicious intent, is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in a permanent ban, with public disclosure of relevant information to server administrators for enforcement purposes.
Account Sharing, and Security
Sharing, trading, or distributing accounts, passwords, or other login credentials is strictly prohibited. Players are solely responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts, and any compromise due to negligence will be treated as a violation.
Enforcement, and Appeals
Violations of these rules may result in permanent bans or other actions deemed necessary by the administrators. Players have the right to appeal any ban or punishment within two weeks. Appeals will be reviewed by the server administrators in a fair and transparent manner, and their decision will be final.
Jurisdiction, and Dispute Resolution
Due to the global nature of the player base, players agree that any disputes will be subject to the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Players must first attempt to resolve any disputes through the appointed server authority (SRA). If the dispute is not resolved by the SRA, players may then pursue legal action in the appropriate court, in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction.
Legal (per Hosting Location)
Quebec, Canada
Personal Data Protection (PIPEDA): Quebec is subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which governs the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. Violations, such as mishandling players' personal data, could result in penalties or legal consequences.
Quebec Privacy Act: Quebec also has its own privacy legislation, the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector. This law imposes additional responsibilities on organizations for handling personal information, with the possibility of fines for non-compliance.
Consumer Protection: Quebec has strict consumer protection laws that require businesses to provide fair and clear terms of service. Failure to meet these requirements could lead to penalties or challenges from consumers, including players.
Cybercrime and Hacking (Criminal Code of Canada): Any attempts at hacking, DDoS attacks, or malicious software distribution are considered criminal offenses under Canadian law, carrying significant penalties.
Dispute Resolution: Disputes may be subject to Quebec's civil law system, and players may be required to resolve disputes in Quebec-based courts unless an arbitration or mediation agreement is in place.
COPPA Compliance: Players must be 13 years or older to join the server.
North Carolina, United States of America
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): As the server is restricted to players aged 13 and older, it is not subject to COPPA.
Data Privacy and Breaches (California Consumer Privacy Act - CCPA): Although specific to California, the CCPA has broader implications for businesses operating in the USA, including the protection of personal information and the right for users to request data deletion or opt-out of data collection.
Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA): Any content hosted on the server that violates copyright laws could expose me, the server owner, to legal claims. I reserve the right to remove infringing content and take appropriate action.
Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA): Any form of unauthorized access to systems (e.g., DDoS attacks, hacking, or exploitation of security vulnerabilities) can be prosecuted under the CFAA. Penalties for violations can be severe.
State-Specific Consumer Protection Laws: North Carolina has its own consumer protection laws that govern online conduct. Violation of these can result in lawsuits or enforcement actions by the state’s attorney general.
Dispute Resolution: Disputes in North Carolina may fall under the state's legal framework, and players must agree to resolve issues through either North Carolina courts or designated alternative dispute resolution methods.
Texas, United States of America
Data Privacy and Security (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act - TDPSA): Personal data of Texas residents is protected under this law. Players have rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of the sale of their personal information. Servers hosting players from Texas must implement reasonable security measures to protect this data, with penalties for non-compliance.
Children’s Online Privacy (SCOPE Act): Although the server is restricted to players aged 13 and older, compliance with age verification and content filtering requirements ensures a safe environment. This act enforces additional protections for minors online.
Consumer Protection (Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act - DTPA): All communications, in-game transactions, and advertisements must be clear, truthful, and not misleading. Violations of this act could result in enforcement actions or penalties.
Cybercrime and Hacking (Texas Penal Code): Hacking, unauthorized access, and the distribution of malicious software are criminal offenses. Those engaging in such activities can face legal consequences under Texas law.
Dispute Resolution: Any disputes related to the server may fall under Texas state laws and courts unless an alternative resolution method, such as arbitration or mediation, is specified in the server's terms of service.
